Jays first three games

The Jays started the season in Tampa Bay playing against the Rays, at the Trop where they have not won a series at since 2007. R.A Dickey’s knuckler was not working well on opening day and the Jays lost 9-2. In the second game Drew Hutchison pitched well, throwing 5.1 innings giving up three hits and three walks while striking out one. Sergio Santos got the save (1). Adam Lind went 2-3 with a homerun (1) and three RBI’s (3). Melky Cabrera went 2-5. Colby Rasmus went 1-4 with two strikeouts and a double. In Game three of the four game series, Mark Buehrle showed us that he still has his stuff throwing 8.2 innings and giving up four hits while striking out 11 batters. John Gibbons went to the bullpen and brought in Santos who did not record the out against Evan Longoria, then to continue playing the matchups Brett Cecil was brought in and he recorded the save (1). Jose Bautista powered the Jays to the win going 2-3 with two homeruns (2) and two RBI’s (2).

The Jays play game 4 of the opening series of the season today with Brandon Morrow on the mound for the Jays.
